Hearst is a leading global, diversified information, services and media company with operations in 40 countries.
Hearst was first discovered in 1887 by an American Businessman, William Randolph Hearst who was known for leading nation's largest newspaper chain and media company, Hearst Communication. William Randolph Hearst was born in San Francisco to George Hearst, a millionaire mining engineer owner of gold and other mines through his corporation, and his much younger wife Phoebe Apperson Hearst, from a small town in Missouri. In 1880, George Hearst mining entrepreneur and U.S. senator, bought the San Francisco Daily examiner In 1887, he turned the Examiner over to his son, William Randolph Hearst, who that year founded the Hearst Corporation. Today, Hearst Communication owns 25 newspaper companies in the U.S and nearly 250 international newspaper editions, generating $11.4 Billion annually U.S dollars. The main goal for Hearts company is to "create premium, purposeful content that helps our audiences and partners strive, thrive and get more out of life" as well as there main mission statement which is "To inform, entertain and inspire. Hearst is continuing a legacy of innovation—and a love of what’s next."
